Suicide Note

And the suicide note read as follows…
Do I have your attention now?

Yes, the suicide note said,
 "Do I have your attention now?"!

"Oh, you never, ever listened.
No, you never really cared.
-Treated me as though I wasn't even there.
Do I have your attention now?"

"No there was nothing you could have done.
Verily nothing under the sun
Could have prevented this, but…
Do I have your attention now?"

"And it's not like you should have known.
Really, how could you?
-without being home?
Always somewhere else to be,
Something else  to  do  
Do  I  have  hour attention, now?"

"But it's not like you weren't told.
-Not that the young are heard by the old.
But I said it with the way I talked.
-screamed it with the way I walked.
Once I even wrote it right up on the wall…
Do I have your attention now?"

"But you never even tried.
No! You never took the time.
Always something else on your mind.
And now I guess you'll be another day behind,
And so I have your attention NOW.
