Spin Around
Spin around, spin around
-my world, my life.
Shuffle the cards however you like.
Been around, still around
-the word, the write.
Heaven only knows what's beyond the light.
Spin around, spin around
-my friends, my head.
Dearly beloved now hated instead.
Goes around, comes around
-good becomes bad,
Innocent man there crucified-dead.
Turn around, there I find
-my back, your knife.
Too late discovered, the blackest of knights
Spitting down on the ground
cursing my plight.
Seems I'm down, final round
-never did fight.
Seen now, scenes I'll
never forget.
Hindsight recounting countless regrets.
Learning now, learning how
-by will, by might.
Changing my fate -I'm making things right.
Simple things, simpleton
-my trials, my self.
Heart in his hand -the joker has dealt.
Lost and found once again
-my soul, my sight.
Can't begin to describe how emptiness felt.
Spin a web, forge a chain
-my woman, her game.
Shameless deception -pointless charade.
Fool the clown, fool around
-my partner, my wife.
Faithfully at home I'll be every day and night.
Stoned again, alone again
-my bottle, my son.
Patiently awaiting thee -ready to believe.
Painlessly blind I'll be
-my blessing in disguise.
Never shall I gaze into the others laughing eyes.
