Final Night (Jimmy) Hear the music
Fresh out of High-School,
 I took bride,
 filled with plans and dreams,
 for a wonderful life.
Children arrive,
 we're filled with pride,
 open the mail to find
a war I've got to fight.

Sent to some old
 forsaken hillside,
 forgotten foothold,
 behind enemy lines.
A good-for-nothing
 acre of land
 in the middle of nowhere...
"Defend it with your life!"

We had to make a stand.
-Tried to hold our ground.
We fought on through the night.
-Tried to stay alive.

We didn't want to kill.
We didn't' want to die.
Sick of blood and guts,
we only wanted to go home.

Nowhere to run to.
No place to hide.
Our backs against the wall.
Nowhere to run to.
No place to hide.
Nothing to do but fight.

If we could hold out 'till morning,
 we'd stand a chance;
Division "C" should be here by the dawn.

But we're far outnumbered,
 completely surrounded,
 out of supplies
It's only a matter of time.

But nobody came,
-nobody cared.
Nobody tried to help.
Nobody cared,
-nobody cried.
They just left us to die.

In a dream last night,
 I saw my parents.
Jimmy I'm frightened,
they had tears in their eyes.

They were standing
 before a casket.
Jimmy the body therein
 was mine.

Nowhere to run to.
No place to hide.
And it wasn't even our war.
Nowhere to turn to.
No time to cry
on our final night.

Jimmy, I want to live.
Lord, don't let me die.
Jimmy I want to see my
 wife and children again.

Jimmy, they're closing in,
 and moving much faster now.
Time grows short.
Jimmy are we gonna die?

And nobody came,
-nobody cared.
Nobody tried to help.
Nobody cared,
-nobody cried.
They just left us to die.
