Scene 1: "Dead Horse"; I'm coming home on a snowy road. I see a dead horse, up side down, with its legs sticking strait up (as a bug might be). I think it is brown. There is another horse behind it (from my perspective). It is black. It looks sad. It seemed at first as if it was almost cradling the dead one, but a horse can't do that. It was just standing very close. It seems sad but it occurs to me that it would make a great photograph. I get home, debate it for a few minutes and decide to go back to take a picture. I get my camera. // Scene 2, act 1: "Hurt" There are several people in my house. They are sitting in chairs. Mike W. is there. He is sitting on the floor. He seems to be hurt. (Either him or someone he has brought over.) The problem seems to be about the ankle. He seems to be messed up on drugs. Scene 2, act 2: "The Other Girl"; Nearest to me, in the chair in the corner, is the reason they are here. There is a young woman sitting there. She is upset with me. She has long, straight, black hair. She is very cute. She is too young for me. She is upset that I have not seen her in a while. She feels abandoned and she seems to feel that she was my girlfriend before Dawn moved in. (Or maybe it was just that we had been very close and now are not.) I don't recognize her, but she does look familiar. I don't quite get it. I think about it for a while. I start to remember. I was talking to her before Dawn moved in and I don't think that I've seen her since. I don't think that anything sexual ever happened between us. [I don't recall any of them saying anything to me. I don't recall actually saying anything to them. It was more like thinking out loud or seeing feelings as clearly as one might hear words.] I tell her (or what to express) that I am sorry that she feels that way and that I didn't mean to abandon her or lead her on. This is how things are now. She gets up. I want to give her a hug and then send them all away. She stands and walks toward me to hug me. I hear footsteps. Dawn is coming downstairs. I don't want her to walk into the room and find me hugging this girl. I start walking backwards. The girl keeps walking forward. I just hope that Dawn will get down here before she reaches me. So She'll see the beginning of the hug as well as the end. Dawn does get down before the girl reaches me. She sees me take a step backward just before the hug. Scene 3: "The Other Guy" The people appear to be gone, but Dawn has brought someone to the house -a guy. They are hanging around together. I don't like this. I go outside. I am in the snow, near the mailbox. I am wearing my snow boots. Something is wrong. I rush into the house. I go in through the front door and as I walk through the living room, I see the guy is doing things to the house. He has painted the living room floor. I have just made boot prints in the wet paint and messed it up. I keep walking. It's too late now. He should have told me that he was going to do that before I walked in. Besides, I am angry. I hear the shower running. I stomp upstairs to confront Dawn. I go into the bathroom without knocking. Much to my surprise, it is not Dawn in the shower, but some other woman! She is kind-of attractive (but that doesn't concern me at the moment). I apologize for bursting in and explain that I had thought that it was Dawn in there. It occurs to me that she may be the guy's girlfriend. That could mean that the guy might be just a friend, but then, from the look that comes over the woman's face, I gather that she was brought here so that I would assume that, but she's really not. She seems to get a little upset and says something to the effect that I must be the other man. She doesn't seem to like being part of the deception. // Scene 4: "The Touch"; I stumble into my room. My hand touches something and gets some stuff on it. I look at it. It is a dark, thick, sticky fluid, like maple syrup, but much thicker and stickier. // Scene 5: "The End"; I step over to the door. Dawn and the guy come up the stairs. They stand next to each other, in front of me (between the bedroom and the bathroom) grinning. He says, "We are going to order something for dinner.". He says, "It will be $20,each.", (or something like that). She looks at me and says, "You probably want to go out to eat."! They turn to each other and their smiles get bigger. Their faces are only about 3 inches apart. I stare in disbelief. I don't know what to do. I consider throwing them both out. I run downstairs. I see the woman from the shower sitting in the living room. I hear Dawn say to the guy that after dinner, they'll have have sex. I run back upstairs and yell, "No!" Not in the house!".
